“Hello everyone, these are the red kiwis that you have ordered. We are starting to pick them now.” At around 12 noon on September 7, in the technology courtyard of Changputang Village, a farmer was picking kiwis while recording videos with his phone to share them on social media. “I have to show my customers the ripe status of our village’s fruits at any time.”
Teng Jianping introduced that these kiwis are Jinhong 50, a new variety, and through careful management and the application of organic fertilizers, they unexpectedly have a bumper harvest this year.
“This kind of kiwis not only has good appearance, but also is twice as big as ordinary kiwis and tastes sweet and fragrant!” Yang Xue, a customer who specially drove from Jishou to buy kiwis, tasted the kiwis and bought 75 kilograms.
In addition to e-commerce sales channels, dealers also drive large trucks to the village to buy kiwis. Gao Chuanyong, leader of the picking team, and other five members were busy picking kiwis. He introduced that there are more than 20 teams with 6 members each on a busy day.

The eye-catching slogan of “Relying on technology, expanding the market, developing and improving the fruit industry, and accelerating the pace of poverty alleviation” is written on the wall.
Tang Jinsheng said that in the past ten years, villagers of Changputang have learned grafting, conducted scientific research, engaged in e-commerce, and investigated markets, gradually embarking on a path of prosperity through the kiwi fruit industry.
